My Story

In 2014, my life changed overnight when I woke paralysed from the waist down. What could have been the end of my journey became the start of something new.

Learning to adapt wasn’t easy. I faced challenges not only physically, but also with my mental health — anxiety, depression, and the fear of being a burden. Yet, step by step, I discovered that resilience isn’t about being unbreakable. It’s about finding the strength to rise again, even when life knocks you down.

Sport became my first outlet for that resilience. I represented Wales in wheelchair rugby, competed in wheelchair basketball, and became the first disabled squash player to enter the Welsh Open Masters. But I wanted to go further. I climbed Kilimanjaro on KAFOs and reached Everest Base Camp on crutches, becoming the first person with CRPS to achieve that feat. Along the way, I raised more than £250,000 for charities through challenges with Project Can’t.

Every mountain I’ve climbed, every barrier I’ve faced, has reinforced one truth: adversity doesn’t define us — how we respond does. That belief is now at the heart of everything I do, whether speaking on stage, consulting with businesses, or helping leaders build inclusive, resilient cultures.

Speaking That Inspires

Speaking is the part of my work that lights me up the most. There is nothing more powerful than standing on a stage, sharing a story, and watching an audience shift their perspective in real time.

I deliver keynote talks for conferences, corporate events, schools, and leadership teams. Each session is designed not only to inspire, but also to equip people with practical strategies they can take back into their daily lives.

My keynote themes include:

  • Resilience and Adaptability – Turning adversity into action.
  • Leadership in Challenging Times – Inspiring leaders to act with courage and clarity.
  • Inclusive Cultures That Thrive – Building workplaces where everyone belongs.
  • The Future of Work & AI – Preparing people to adapt to technological change.

Ranked among the UK’s Top 10 Motivational Speakers (2025), I combine authentic storytelling with lived experience and practical insight. My talks are not about theory — they are about what resilience, inclusion, and innovation really look like in action.

Inclusion & Transformation

Inclusion is more than a value, it’s the foundation of sustainable growth. As Head of Inclusion at Champions UK PLC, my mission is to make sure organisations put people at the centre of their strategies.

I believe that inclusion drives wellbeing, wellbeing drives performance, and performance drives growth. By combining inclusive leadership, responsible AI adoption, and resilience strategies, I help organisations create cultures where people thrive and businesses succeed.

Working as part of Champions’ wider consultancy, my role ensures that inclusion is not an afterthought, but a driving force across every project.

Practical Solutions for Growth

Growth should never come at the expense of people. Through JM Consultancy, I work with organisations to create systems that free leaders to focus on what really matters: their people, their culture, and their mission.

By blending HubSpot CRM, Linked Helper, and AI adoption with inclusion and wellbeing strategies, I help businesses build workplaces that are both efficient and human-first.

For me, consultancy is not about delivering a quick fix. It’s about partnering with organisations to design sustainable systems, stronger cultures, and smarter ways of working that last.

Work With Me

My journey has taught me one thing above all else: resilience, inclusion, and innovation are not just ideas; they are the foundations of growth and success. Whether I’m on stage sharing my story, partnering with Champions UK PLC to embed inclusive leadership, or helping SMEs streamline their systems, my mission is the same: to help people and organisations get back up and move forward with confidence.
