Eight Years with Champions Speakers Agency

My Journey as a Motivational and Resilience Speaker

Being a motivational speaker isn’t just a job for me. It’s part of my recovery, my purpose and the life I rebuilt after waking up paralysed from the waist down. For the past eight years, a big part of that journey has been my partnership with Champions Speakers Agency, one of the leading speaker agencies in the UK and internationally. They’ve played a key role in helping me share my story of resilience, inclusion and adaptability with audiences around the world.

I joined Champions Speakers Agency at a point in my life where everything had shifted. I’d survived the chaos of paralysis, learnt to stand again, moved from wheelchair to crutches and eventually to the carbon fibre legs you see me on today. I’d discovered sport, built a network, found allies and developed the frameworks that now support my work in inclusion and neurodiversity. People were starting to ask for my insight. Not the polished kind, but the real, lived experience of resilience.

Champions saw that value early.

What I’ve always appreciated about them is their approach. They’re not just an online directory loaded with motivational speakers and corporate bios. They’re a fully established UK speaker agency with a proper team behind the scenes, matching the right speaker to the right event. Over the years, they’ve supported me across sectors including public service, corporate, education and global leadership events. Their reach is wide, but their understanding of message and impact is what makes the difference.

Working with Champions Speakers Agency means I get to speak honestly. They’ve never asked me to sugar-coat anything. My talks cover the reality of resilience, the barriers people face, the importance of inclusive practice and the role technology and AI play in creating more accessible workplaces. They’ve allowed me to grow from telling my story of paralysis to delivering strategic sessions on leadership, adaptability and inclusion. That sort of evolution only works when an agency actually understands the speaker and the message.

Eight years in, I’m still proud to be on their books.

It says something, because I’m not someone who stays out of habit. If something doesn’t align with who I am or the direction I’m heading in, I’m happy to move on. But Champions Speakers Agency has consistently backed the work I do. They’ve been part of my journey from the early days of rebuilding my identity to speaking on international stages about resilience, inclusion and the future of work.

Suppose you’re an organisation looking to book a motivational speaker, a resilience speaker or someone with lived experience who can cut through the noise and speak with honesty. In that case, find me at Champions Speakers Agency.

Champions is more than just an agency: They understand impact. They understand people. And they’ve supported me in taking my story to places I never thought possible.

Eight years down the line, the partnership is still going strong, and I’m excited to see where it goes next.
